CB MORTEL-V (accelerated)
Product: CB-Mortel-V is a powdery grey product. It consists of fine and coarse mineral components, hydraulic binders and special aggregates for a fast setting time and processing. CB-Mortel-V is used as a foundation for tiling especially at places where fast processing is required. CB-Mortel-V can be used for repairing plaster and rendering of small surfaces of masonry, flat and rough stony surfaces for outdoor and indoor use.
Suitable foundations are concrete/masonry/sand-lime brick (cellular concrete exclusively for indoor use) hardened plaster layers with sufficient supporting strength of cement/lime mortar/gypsum.
Characteristics: CB-Mortel-V can be processed very rapidly because of its short hardening time, is shock-resistant, easy to apply, is permeable and has a very good adherence on a number of surfaces.
ST- Mortel must be fully dry if finishing with decorative plaster or masonry paint. The hardening time can vary depending on the temperature and has a longer hardening time at lower temperatures than at higher temperatures.
Lowest processing temp.: Do not use CB Mortel-V when the outside temperature and/or the temperature of the material can drop below 5°C during drying.
Processing: Do not prepare more CB-Mortel-V than can be applied within 15 minutes. CB-Mortel-V is prepared lump-free with a mixer by the addition of 4,5 to 5 litres of water per 25 kg. Apply CB-Mortel-V with a trowel and make it straight and even using a straight edge in a 5 to 20 mm layer thickness. After a enough drying time, sandpaper evenly with a sanding block. If required, CB-Mortel-V can be humidified with water directly after sanding and smoothly plastered with a stainless steel trowel. Do not mix thickened mortar again. Dilatation joints in the foundation must continue to the levelling to be applied.
Consumption: ± 1.6 kg per m² per mm layer thickness, depending on the condition of the surface to be treated.
Packing/Contents: In sacks of 25 kg.
Surface: The surface must be stable and have sufficient support strength, free from dust, grease and powdery coats of paint and dry. Always check painted surfaces for strength and adherence. Pre-treat smooth and weakly-absorbing surfaces always with Stuc-Contact. Highly-absorbing surfaces must always be pre-treated with Stuc-voorstrijk.
Storage Life: Maximum 6 months in closed packaging.
Storage: Transport and store dry, avoid extreme temperatures.
Remark: In the case of strong wind and bright sunlight, precautions against fast drying must be taken.
