VWS10-Mortel

DIGO VWS10-MORTEL

Product:
VWS10-Mortel is a powdery, fine granular material that consists of mineral fillers, hydraulic binders and high-quality synthetic resins.

Specific use:
VWS10-Mortel is used for gluing of polystyrene boards and for the reinforcing mortar layer of the outer wall insulation.

Characteristics:
VWS10-Mortel is waterproof, weather-resistant, shock-resistant has a good adherence and is very easy to apply.
Vapour diffusion resistance (ud value) 0.8
Adhesive strength (N/mm2) at least 1.90.

Processing temperature:
Do not use VWS-10 Mortel when the outside temperature and/or the temperature of the base can drop below + 5o C during drying.

Method of application:

Gluing isolation boards:
VWS10-Mortel is prepared with ± 6.5 litres of water per sack of 25 kg.  The material is prepared lump-free with a rapid mixer. Gluing of the polystyrene boards takes place by applying the VWS10-mortar on the polystyrene boards by means of a 10-mm coarse comb trowel. After that, the polystyrene board can be glued to the base (the sides need to remain clean).

Mortar/tissue layer: After a minimum of 48 hours, the VWS10-mortar is applied on a minimal thickness of 3 mm by means of stainless steel trowel. The reinforcing tissue is embedded in this wet mortar layer. The tissue must be on the outside of the mortar layer, but must be 100% embedded.  The finishing layer can be applied after a minimum of 48 hours.

Consumption:
± 5 kg per m² for gluing the boards.
± 5 kg per m² for the mortar/tissue layer

Packing/Contents: In sacks of 25 kg.

Surface:
The bases must be rendered smooth, tight, wind and waterproof. The surface must be free from dust, grease and powdery coats of paint and dry for gluing of the polystyrene boards.

Storage: Store dry and free from moisture.

Remark:
In the case of strong wind and bright sunlight, precautions against fast drying must be taken. The facades during processing protect against weather influences such as sun, wind and rain.
