C.B. Mortel -W

DIGO C.B. MORTEL-W

Product: C.B. Mortel-W is a powdery silicone-containing product. It consists of fine and coarse mineral components, hydraulic binders, aggregates and synthetic resins.

Specific use: C.B. Mortel-W is used for the rendering of masonry and rough stony surfaces for outdoor and indoor uses. Because of its very low water absorption, C.B. Mortel-W is excellently fit as mortar in the socle range and for use in damp spaces.

Characteristics: C.B. Mortel-W is weather-resistant, shock-resistant and has a very good adherence on a number of surfaces because of the addition of synthetic resin. The product is permeable, water-repellent because of the silicone aggregates and can be finished with various materials.

CB Mortel-W shows a low water absorption, measured acc. to EN 1015-18, and fulfills Wc2 with a requirement of ≤ 0,20 kg/m²√min acc. to EN 998-1

Water absorption (EN 1015-18) [kg/m²√min] after 90Min.,  0,031

Lowest processing temp.: Do not use C.B. Mortel-W when the outside temperature and/or the temperature of the material can drop below + 5o C.

Method of application: C.B. Mortel-W is prepared with 4.5 litres of water per 25 kg. Apply the mortar with a trowel or worm gear pump in layer thickness of 5 to 15 mm. Level by means of a jointing rule and after sufficient drying, possibly sandpaper evenly with a sanding bloc. A reinforcing web can be embedded in the wet mortar layer. The finishing layer can be applied after a drying time of ± 12 hours per mm layer thickness. Because of the slowed water absorption, C.B. Mortel-W  can’t  be used by machine.

Consumption: 1.6 kg per m2 per mm layer thickness.

Packing/Contents: In sacks of 25 kg.

Surface: The surface must be free from dust, grease and powdery coats of paint and dry. Pre-treat with Voorstrijk Bindmiddel in order to eliminate strong absorption. Pre-treat smooth surfaces with Stuc-Contact.

Storage: Store dry and free from moisture.

Remark: In the case of strong wind and bright sunlight, precautions against fast drying must be taken.
