Krabpleister

Colour: Krabpleister is delivered in broken white and on request. Various lots can show small differences in colour, caused by the mineral components. In order to prevent colour differences, it is advised to order the total quantity required for a project. Always mix different lots with each other.

Processing temperature: Do not use at a surface and ambient temperature below + 5°C.

Method of application: Krabpleister is dispersed in clean water (in the ratio 3 to 4 litres of water to 25 kg of Krabpleister) and by means of a high-speed mixer made into a porridge like to stiff substance. Krabpleister is applied with a stainless steel trowel at a layer thickness of ± 10 to 15 mm. If necessary, a jointing rule may be used. If possible, one should work from corner to corner in order to prevent joints. The structure is obtained by scraping when the plaster starts to harden. This can be done by means of a nail board. To prevent forming of stains, ensure an overall and evenly absorption of the base.

Consumption: Depending on the surface ± 20 kg per m2   

 Packing/Contents: In sacks of 25 kg.

Surface: The surface must be dry and free from dust, grease and powdery coats of paint (wipe-resistant, whitewash coats). Powdery surfaces must be pre-treated with Undercoating solvent-free. (See separate product information sheet.)  Pre-treat highly-absorbing surfaces with Voorstrijk  Bindmiddel (3 parts of water, 1 part of Voorstrijk Bindmiddel). Pre-treat smooth surfaces with Stuc-Contact. (See separate product information sheet.)

Storage: Store dry and free from moisture.

Remark: It can be cleaned with all kinds of cleaners except solvents. Decorative plasters must always be applied with stainless steel tools. In the case of strong wind and bright sunlight, precautions against fast drying must be taken. Possibly spray (humidify) with water.
