Kalei
Product: Kalei is a dry high-quality mineral product, consisting of hydraulic binders, synthetic resins, fine and more coarse fillers.
Specific use: Kalei is mainly applied to surfaces of untreated masonry. Through the application of Kalei on masonry, the façades get an authentic mineral look in which the structure and shape of the masonry remains visible. Outdoor and indoor use.
Characteristics: Kalei is weather-resistant, breathing, shock-resistant, is easy to apply and thoroughly coloured.

Colour: Available in various colours, standard colours and on request. In order to prevent colour differences, it is advised to order the total quantity required for a project. Always mix different lots with each other.
Processing temperature: Do not use at a surface and ambient temperature below + 5 °C.
Method of application: Kalei is prepared with clean tap water.
20 kg of Kalei is prepared with mininal 10 litres of water. (1 kg Kalei / ± 500 cc water).
Kalei is dispersed in mixing water and mixed lump-free by hand or a mixer, after which Kalei is applied in at least two layers with a block brush. The first layer of Kalei must be dry before applying the second layer. After mixing with water, Kalei can optionally also be sprayed with a worm gear pump and after that be brushed into the desired structure with a block brush. (This process results in a higher consumption.)
Layer thickness: 1 mm / 2 mm
Consumption: Depending on the coarseness and absorption of the base.
Determine the use by means of a test surface.
± 0.5 kg per m² to 1 kg per m² per layer.
Packing/Contents: In sacks of 20 kg.
Surface: The surfaces must be free from grease, free from dust and powdery layers. Loose joints must be repaired before Kalei is applied. First moisten highly absorbent porous untreated surfaces pre-treat with Voorstijk bindmiddel (dilute with water 1:3) in order to reduce the excessive absorption of the base. Surfaces that have been treated with a water-repellent agent are not suitable.
With wall paint treated surfaces should be checked for adhesion of the wall paint to the surface. Remove all loose and detached parts. Clean the surfaces treated with wall paint with a high-pressure water spraying pistol before Kalei is applied. Pre-treat the wall sections with different surfaces, e.g. painted and unpainted, with Voorstrijk Bindmiddel for a uniform drying of the Kalei.
Storage: Store moisture-free.
Remark: By way of application, the condition of the surface such as alternating strong and/or weak absorbent surfaces, smooth or coarse stone structures and the amount of mixing water can give Kalei various colour nuances. For larger layer thicknesses, small drying cracks can occur that can be eliminated with another layer of Kalei.
Climatological information
The minimum ambient temperature and the temperature of the surface should not be below + 5°C during application and drying of the materials. Protect the façades against weather influences, such as sun, wind and rain, during processing.

Although the utmost attention has been paid to the accuracy of the colors, can not be guaranteed that every steel fully corresponds to the original materials. There may be colour deviations result from:
