DIGO LG MORTEL (lightweight)

Product: LG Mortel is a factory composite mortar according to mortar group p2 with lightweight aggregates.

Specific use: LG Mortel is used for the rendering of masonry and rough stony surfaces for outdoor and indoor uses.

Characteristics: LG Mortel has a very good adherence and is permeable. The lightweight mortar can also be applied in one layer at larger layer thickness. After drying, the mortar can be finished with various products, such as decorative plasters/masonry paints/tiles etc. Pressure strength 4.8 N/mm², bending strength 2.0 N/mm²,  insulation value W/mK 0.156.

Trapped air content 25%.

Lowest processing temp.: Do not use LG Mortel when the outside temperature and/or the temperature of the material can drop below 5°C during processing and drying.

Method of application: LG Mortel is prepared with 4.5 to 5 litres of water per 13 kg.  Apply the mortar in layer thickness of 5 to 25 mm. Level by means of a jointing rule and after sufficient drying, sandpaper evenly with a sanding block. If necessary, humidify and scour and rub with a scourer. The finishing layer can be applied after a drying time of ± 12 hours per mm layer thickness.

Machine-processing: With high-power plaster-spraying equipment with blue-coat D6-3 shore. Start at ± 300 litres water without a hose. Reduce the water until the correct thickness is obtained. Flush through before mounting the hose. Clean the hose material immediately after processing.

Consumption: ± 0.7 kg per m² per mm layer thickness (± 2 m² per sack at a layer thickness of 10 mm). Determine the exact use by means of a test surface.

Packing/Contents: In sacks of 13kg.

Surface: The surface must be dry, free from dust, grease and powdery coats of paint. Pre-treat with Stuc-Contact. Pre-treat rough surfaces with Voorstrijk Bindmiddel or Stuc-voorstrijk in order to eliminate strong absorption.

Storage: Store dry and free from moisture.

Remark: In the case of strong wind and bright sunlight, precautions against fast drying must be taken. To reduce the possibility of cracking in weak and/or different surfaces, a reinforcing web can be applied in the mortar layer.
