Sparkling Finishes

Product:
Palatinum is a ready-to-use decorative plaster with a sparkling effect based on synthetic resin dispersions (decorative plaster finish).

Specific use:
Palatinum is a thin-layer decorative plaster for indoor use, applicable on flat surfaces such as stucco and panel materials such as plasterboard panels, wooden building boards, cement-bonded building boards.

Characteristics:
Palatinum gives a smooth or textured surface, depending on the application, is very decorative and washable.

Various lots can show small differences in the colours.

In order to prevent colour differences, it is advised to order the total quantity required for a project. Always mix different lots with each other.

Processing temperature:
Do not use at a surface and ambient temperature below + 5 °C.

Method of application:
Palatinum is applied with a stainless steel trowel (thin polishing trowel).
For a smooth finish, Palatinum is applied in several thin coats, with the first coat allowed to dry before the next coat is applied.
This smooth finish gives the surface a very smooth, even and slightly cloudy surface with a sparkling effect.
With a structured surface, the first layer is also applied thinly, after drying the second layer is applied more widely so that a layer thickness is created.
After some drying, the Palatinum is smoothed over with the polishing trowel, creating a structured surface.
This finish gives a light (irregular) coarse structure with sparkling effects.

Consumption:
Up to 0.3 kg per m2. With a textured finish.

Packing/Contents:
In plastic buckets of 1, 2 and 5 kg.

Surface:
The surface must be free of dust and powdery paint layers (sweep-resistant, whitewash layers) free of grease, dry and flat. Powdery surfaces must be pre-treated with Undercoat solvent-free. See separate product information sheet. Pre-treat highly-absorbing surfaces with Roughener. For a good result, it is important that the surface is as level as possible and has an even absorption over the entire surface.

Storage:
Protect against heat and frost.

Remark:
To be cleaned with non-aggressive cleaning agents.
