DIGO SCHUURSTUC
Product: Schuurstuc is a ready to use plaster for indoor use without mineral binders. It consists of an alkali-resistant, plasticizer-free, synthetic resin dispersion, fine fillers and pigments.
Specific use: Schuurstuc is a decorative finishing with sandpaper effect for walls and ceilings and can be used on all plastered surfaces and gypsum boards.
Characteristics: Schuurstuc is washable, breathing, solid, shock-resistant, coloured, without solvents, ready for use and is easy to apply.
Colour: Available according to an elaborate colour spectrum. Various lots can show small differences in colour. In order to prevent colour differences, it is advised to order the total quantity required for a project. Always mix different lots with each other.
Processing temperature: Do not use at a surface and ambient temperature below + 5°C.
Method of application:Schuurstuc is applied in two thin layers with a stainless steel trowel. The first layer as covering, level and fixed. This to eliminate adsorption from the surface and to bring this to colour. Apply second layer after drying (approx. 1.5 mm). Have the material dry until the layer is solid enough for finishing. After drying, sufficiently humidify the Schuurstuc with water and scour with a scourer. The structure thickness is dependent on the drying time. The drying time can vary due to ambient temperature and atmospheric humidity. A temperature of + 15° C is required for a smooth finishing.
Consumption: 1.5 - 2 kg per m2.
Packing/Contents: In plastic buckets of 7 and 15 kg.
Surface: The surface must be dry and free from dust, grease and powdery coats of paint (wipe-resistant, whitewash coats). Powdery surfaces must be pre-treated with Diepgrond ov. See separate product information sheet. Pre-treat highly-absorbing surfaces with Ruwer. It is important for a good result that the surface is level.
Storage: Protect against heat and frost.
Remark: It can be cleaned with all kinds of cleaners except solvents. Digo decorative plasters must always be applied with stainless steel tools.
